give up soda and juices which contain lots of sugar or high fructose corn syrup. in other words, don’t drink all your calories. save calories just drink water, various teas (especially green tea) or black coffee. skip the whipped cream and chocolate in your coffee…save the calories for food!
your thoughts are powerful; pay attention! do you encourage yourself with positivity or hold yourself back with negativity? make sure to shift toward positive thoughts and push negative thoughts away when they do pop up.
eat foods that are closest to their natural state as possible, for Xample: whole and fresh foods in a rainbow of colors. also eat alkaline-promoting foods. research suggests that eating too many acidic foods can damage lungs and kidneys. balance out the acidity with foods that promote an alkaline body environment. eat lots of root vegetables (carrots, beets, etc.), cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and brussels sprouts, leafy greens, garlic, cayenne peppers, and lemons and limes.
add muscle building activities to your weekly Xercises. @clubX you can maXimize your muscle building Xercises with free weights, selectorized machines, resistance bands, kettlebells etc. you can also utilize trX or just your body weight with push-ups, planks and squats.
we have said it before and we are saying it again; striving for perfection usually leads to disaster! set small, goals and work your way to suXess by developing healthy habits that last. furthermore, don’t diet. miX up the letters in the word and edit what you eat instead. make a lifestyle change toward healthier foods, not a deprivation plan.
